According to the most recent Downtown Dayton Special Improvement District report 86 percent of downtown Dayton business leaders think the Downtown Dayton Partnership’s Ambassador Program has had a positive effect on downtown. Ambassadors pick up litter, power wash sidewalks and remove graffiti. Ambassadors, who are easy to spot in their bright “safety green” shirts in warm weather and bright blue jackets in inclement weather, also patrol on bicycles and on foot, serving as extra eyes and ears for the Dayton Police Department. Most importantly, they serve as goodwill ambassadors and provide assistance to visitors, workers and residents. Here’s a look at the Ambassador Program’s 2017 numbers through October:
