During her recent State of the City address, Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley says the city is “roaring back” from where it was four years ago. She cites several areas of positive signs of growth and renewal. Not that there aren’t still challenges, she says. The city continues to face issues such as neighborhood blight, drug addiction and workforce development that require serious focus and attention, says Whaley.
