Focus On Young Artists

This year will mark the 20th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Accords—the international agreement that ended the three-and-a-half-year war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and created a framework for peace in the Balkans. In recognition of this historic event, a Dayton Peace Accords @20 Commemoration will take place Nov. 18-21, 2015. An organizing committee of citizens representing a broad array of local organizations and community leaders has been formed to lead this international four-day event.

The logo to be used in promotion of this commemoration is being selected through a logo contest being hosted by Culture Works. High school students from the Dayton region and students from Bosnia and Herzegovina are encouraged to submit their original designs. A selection committee comprised of members of the organizing committee will evaluate entries based on relevance, originality and aesthetic quality, and the winner will have their logo used on promotional materials related to the Dayton Peace Accords @20 Commemoration.

Entry forms, rules and instructions for interested students can be found on the Culture Works website at cultureworks.org. The deadline for contest entries is Friday, Feb. 27, 2015.
